the Petit weekend is coming up. 2 of the former Lotu Sport drivers will be racing that weekend. Andy Pilgrim in the Caddy CTSV and David Murry in the Ford GT .

its always a HUGE event.

anyone planning on going ? Mick usually gets us a good corral spot which always depends on the number of cars that attend the corral.

Porche, Corvette, Ferrari, always has huge numbers. its a fun weekend. I can get a tour arranged at the Dick Barbour shop which fields the Ford GT for Murry. Mr. Barbour has a great collection of old race cars.

we usually do a tour at Panoz too.

Yep.. it is the family vacation this year... Ferrari def. has the primo corral spot and I must say, with the poor turn out at most events, they usually arrive in force at ALMS. There was only 1 Esprit there that I saw last year - red V8...

that red V 8 was Alec Peters. he is a lawyer here in ATL. he is a wonderful guy. he looks like Gene Wilder. very funny guy.

My Esprit was there last year.

The Ferrari guys always come in big numbers for the Petit but they charge to enter the corral. You have to be a FOC member or some garbage like that. Tommy Cosgrover from Alabama usually heads up the Alabama drive over to the Petit.

its fun. I will drive my car there this yeaer again. Friday is the speed world challenge.

oh, and Hypersport is entering the Exige for the speed world challenge event. it should be ready by then.

Hey... bring the wife. What a story you'd have and think of the the history created right at the moment your baby girl is born! I mean... being born at Raod Atlanta durning ALMS for this generation would be like getting born at Woodstock for the previous generation! :yes:
