Will definitely see you there. Hope they have a good track day set up. I missed playing on it back at LOG 24. Big question will be which toy to take out.

Hotel room reserved. Went to the track event portion of the LOG 29 webpage but only a "coming soon" sign appeared. Has there been an upgrade yet? Same applies to the "forms" section. Or do we need to go to the Lotus Ltd. site?

I spoke with Roger Becker yesterday ( engineer , test driver for the X180 R ) and Roger is coming to LOG..

he is also having a red Evora shipped over. The car is being flown over to Atlanta where Roger will retrieve it and drive it over to LOG.

should be a ball.

a Westfield Lotus 7 owner contacted me and is wondering if his Westfield Lotus 7 is eligible for LOG ?

I dont see why not ?

would he still be eligible for the LOG concourse ? ?

MickOpalak

He can definitely bring a Seven replica to LOG. They have their own class in the concours.

thanks. This gentlemn is named Mac Wakefield. Mac worked for the old ATS F 1 team of the late 70's early 80's. he was an engineer at ATS. he then went to March and along side Alan Mertens they designed and built March GTP cars, F 1 and Indy cars.

in 1984 Mac came to the states and was an engineer on the March Kreepy Crawly GTP team that ran the March tube with Buick V 6 twin turbo power. Mac lives here in GA and will attend LOG with his beautiful burgandy Westfield 7..

Mac is a really neat guy and has loads of racing stories that are priceless. I can listen to him tell stories about those ATS days all day long.

Bobby Carradine just survived all o fthe Santa Barbara fires and he and wife Eddie are looking forward to seeing his old Lotus teamates and crew guys.

just spoke with Yesteryear Motorsports, the owners of the LotuSport cars. they are all ready to be on display at LOG this year both on and off the track.

these cars are not garage ornaments, instead these are racing cars that race the vintage series coast to coast.

looking forward to LOG.

I'll be there. However, without getting into "it", I'll be spending the major bulk of my time with the BBMC group. I'll be at that car show (upper display area) Saturday (Sports Cars in the Park). I plan on kicking around Barber most of Saturday with the psudo historical NASA race going on. I have no plans to atted the banquett as it is. I am soooo looking forward to the X180Rs on track!:yes:

So, anyone!, feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll shoot you my cell number should you want to try to meet up at some point between Friday PM and Sunday AM! I will def. be around!

Cameron... you have to be at the banquet man... this banquet is going to be epic...

can you make it to the Friday afternoon session on performance driving ? Doc, David and Andy will be conducting that piece from 4 to 5:30.

Mick and Mike have created and assembed the best LOG ever...

the cars will be there but you have to meet the team drivers, crew chief's, cremen, and old team owner Jack Ansley.. Jack, is full of the most funny stories about those days..

many Maimi vice episodes could have been written about the team.. wink wink.

I start a new job on June 1st..... not really excited though, as its lower pay with no chance of promotion.... but its a job.

Anyhoo, if I have any vacation time accrued from my old job and I can get my Lotus runnin again I'll be there. Plan is to start the drive at the wee hours of the morning on Thursday. I'll be staying at the Wynfry and plan on attending the banquet and most of the other events.
