What is the general consensus here? My car dosent come with a spare and until now I rely on AA picking me up to drop me home with car. But im heading away for the weekend on the Lotus 60th Tour so I need some suggestions. I know I have possibly left this a little late but I have two evenings to purchase anything I need.
I was planning to take a can of tire foam with me incase I get a flat just to get me to the nearest tyre repair shop. I was thinking worst case, I would only need to replace the valve? But what does foam do to the inner wall of a tubeless tire is what I want to know. And would you have to biff the tyre?

The tyre foam is better than nothing Kylie and anything that may get you out of the sh*t is worth carrying.:)
However, it wont seal up a cut in the tyre and also If a low profile tyre starts deflating as you are driving on it, it will usually be screwed(ruined) by the time you notice its going down and have pulled off to the side of the road.:(

Ive also got one other sneaky plan. Well a guy whom I intend to travel in convoy with with in an early Stevens Esprit said I can borrow his spare. But if he gets a flat and ive used his ......
I am not even sure his std spare would fit mine anyway? Off sets spring to mind but I was also thinking about raiding the Audis one and putting in the front boot as I think its a five hole but whether the holes actually do line up is a different story. :001_unsure:

I have never used it but herar it can really toss off the balance(?) but that does not seem likely to me. I have a spare, but in the events that I have not had one in the past, I carried a small compressor (that is slow) but is light wt and can be shoved anyplace and a strip of the tar tire plug stips and the little tools to put them in. Never had any trouble with them when I have had to plug a hole...

Funny story I just remembered.
A used car trader I knew in England did in 4 Pirelli P7 tyres on his Audi Quattro when a Dispatch rider who was in front of him on the M6 Motorway lost a package of hyperdermic syringe needles off the back of his bike, and he drove over them.
The bad stuff to use in tyres is the green OKO stuff (or Slime as it is called here)
You put it in the tyre and it will seal small holes without you knowing.
If you get alot of holes, you may get catostrophic tyre failure.
Tyre fitters hate it as well 'cos it goes everywhere when they break the bead on the tyre to change it.
