As most of you already know... I've already rebuilt the rest of my Esprit... may as well do the engine. I also have a tendancy to modify everything I touch. So, here's the basic idea of what I'm doing:

-Lighter rods and pistons (probably crower rods, arias pistons)

-lighten the crank (possibly.. though not 100% sure on that yet)

-I was going to block post.. but I've decided it's not necessary

-port work to be done by me... probably with the destination of higher velocity... not higher flow.

-Stand-Alone Ecu (I have a line on a beta version for very little $)

-550cc injectors (I know I should go with the primary and secondary setup, but I haven't got the other setup for the secondaries)

-Need to find an up-rated clutch for the Citroen Gearbox

-I've already cry-treated the tranny for durability

-May need an LSD

-Going to need to re-inforce the tranny casing for the torque I expect to put down.

-larger ball-bearing type turbo

-272 intake cam... probably 272 exhaust too

-new stainless exhaust valves... yes i know about the sodium filled original valves... and I'm not convinced

-I was told that the lotus head has a 3 angle valve job stock... it doesn't... so that's on the list as well

-i'll keep posting as i recall...

Sounds like you could be a good guy to ask about some technical issues eh?

hehe... I can lend assistance to a certain extent... I don't want to overstate my abilities.... As for the pics... I'm gonna have to get some off my other laptop and post some more.
Though... here's a couple:

hehe... It's not the first time I've taken the engine out... That's the easy part... surprisingly.. it only takes 3 hours to pull the whole nine yards out the back. However... all that being said... It's going to take a long time to gather the funds necessary... I've got a couple of winter projects coming up that should help though -- Gotta transfer a bunch of parts between a 1994 S4 and a 2002 V8.... as well as fix all the "little" things that are wrong on the S4. It's gonna need a new A/C evaporator and probably a heater core... possibly a couple of other things as welll -- nothing with the heater system seems to function properly. So... all that will help the progress of mine. Then.. I've also got a 1990 Eagle talon in the shop right now that needs the engine built up and installed with a new turbo, pistons, intercooler, header, Super AFC... etc... Should be a busy winter for me... no sundays off for this boy.

I think you're right... It was really meant for the drag-strip though... but.. it sure was fun to drive around town! Bloody thing wouldn't turn under full throttle in second gear! In order to corner... you had to drop the throttle to start the turn and then open it wide open and drift the corner... man.. .what a beast! Not what I'd call a proper sports car -- but great on the drag strip!
