Anyone have a good example of padding for the roll bar cover on the elise? I'm tall and my head just touches the bottom of the moulding behind the seat.

You should look into the "Down low" seat rail from Sector 111 instead of trying to put any padding on that moulding.

I actually have the lower seat rail installed. They work great! I'm 6'6" and fit just fine but my head just comes to the bottom of that roll bar cover. I had seen a picture once of a nice leather bound padding that covered the entire strip (all the way to the passenger side) but I can't remember where I saw it.

I just found ou the Vauxhall VX220 has padding for their similar roll bar cover. I am having a hard time finding a place to purchase them. If anyone has an idea of where to grab some, I would appreciate your help.

Actually I was looking through my Lotus magazines that were dated 1998-99 and it advertises the full sports kits for the Elise. I should see if I can scan it. I think this included the triangle roll bar and padding for it? But if your already on the case............. :001_unsure:

I would presume you could order the VX220 roll bar pads via a Vauxhall dealer in the UK.

I seem to remember Steve Thompson Cars as being a particulary switched on Vauxhall dealer in Wednesbury that could probably help you out.

Dont worry about ordering parts in the UK and getting them sent out, I do it all the time.

Hi sorry for the delay, I forgot to scan for you last friday and now its Monday, no scanner at home so using my work one :)

Sadly no padding for the roll bars but thought I would post up some of the Sport 190 upgrade kit that was on offer at the time just for interests sake :flowers:
