Any of you going to this event?
"The Repco Tasman Revival meeting is at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway for three days from November 28-30."
If you do please take some pics, it sounds great!

I went yesterday, Friday, the first day with many of the cars and entrants already there. Good day and like a functional museum with static displays as well as cars practising and racing.
Took lots of photos (200+) but don't know how to post the album. They're on photobucket and I tried to move them into a folder to post here but didn't succeed. Any easy way for me to do that?

Yes Fantastic pics! Please post more! Looks like a very fun event! I noticed in the background of one picture that there was a small amount of spectators. That wasn't wasn't true was it? Seems like that would of drawn a crowd...
Yes the crowd would have been small and I doubt more than a couple of thousand spread around the track, pits and stalls. It was however Friday, stormy weather and the real crowds are expected over the weekend.

Yes Fantastic pictures!
I really like your shooting style. Is there any way I could get this pic as high res? It needs to be on my garage wall in 20 x 30...
Thanks Greg.
Send me a PM with your address and I'll post you a CD with my photos.

G`day Dan ,looks like heaven to me sat here in the frost, love the Matich and Elfin (looking for Marks mystery cars) no help with photobucket but look forward to seeing your pics when you get a link sorted.Clockwork :)
I've given up trying to work out how to post my file.
Those Elfins and Matich had the whole country behind them whenever the internationals came down to race here. Both were revered in Australia.
Frank Matich built his own cars unlike Elfin. That company, founded by Garrie Cooper, became the Australian version of Lotus. A prolific, by oz standards, race car manufacturer that enjoyed significant success.
After the untimely passing of Cooper in his forties, due to a heart condition, the company kind of lost its way. They are undergoing a resurgence at the moment though the current financial situations will dampen their efforts.
Here are a couple more shots of those two cars as well as the engine room (by Repco) of another Elfin.
