Sad day,the actor Patrick McGoohan has died at the age of eighty following a short illness,The picture of him coming towards you in KAR 120C is still in my head after all these years as an unimportant piece of trivia my elan was reg KAR 221C . He was never a number,always a free man.Clockwork :crying:

I loved the Prisoner TV series and have visited Portmerion where it was filmed a few times.

Sorry to hear of Patrick McGoohan's passing, I think he was a longtime resident of the State Of California?

Thanks Wayne,he did live in the states,in fact I think he was born there,directed and appeared in a lot of Columbo episodes.When you went to the village did you get the teashirt ? I should put mine on but the years have probably had the opposite effect on our relative sizes ! Clockwork :)

The day's I went to the village it was deserted and quite cold and bleak.

Paint was faded and peeling and it looked pretty neglected compared to how it looked on the TV series.

I did get to stand on the giant chessboard which made me happy though!:)
