I quite like the forum, but its layout is a bit difficult to deal with at times (compared to LEFs simpler approach), and as Tony mentioned the smileys are not exactly plentiful (or graphically pleasing)

There seem to be some genuinely knowledgeable and interesting people on here so I'm sure likewise people will eventually gravitate here .

I wish Martin and Bill all the best for their forum, and I will try to post whenever I get the time.

Wayne :)

If I may be a pain. It could do with a "View New Posts" section where you just click on it and it gives you all the topics posted into since you were last on. I use this more than anything on LEF and LEC.

I would suggest tidying up some of the not/little used sub-sections as well.

We have about 10 on LEF and it's more than enough.

I like it over here as it gives me a chance to talk to some of you guys who aren't on LEF or LEC (as they are model specific and this site is for all models). The people are nicer than on SELOC and don't talk drivel like on PH.

Like I said before. Good luck and I'll post on here as often as I can.

Thumbsup.....DOH! See????

Kimbers and Wayne, thanks for the input. And you guys are very much appreciated here! I'll see if I can work on something additional as far "emoticons" go.
BTW, there is a new post button . If you look about 1 to 2 inches below the red esprit at the top of your screen, there you go.

After lurking on Elisetalk, this format's not too challenging, but I can see how those addicted to LEF are having trouble coping! :D

Me too, but I have to say that so far this place feels a lot like an Esprit forum. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/sad/533.gif

Hope that changes

Agreed, it almost seems like the owners of other cars outside of the Esprit and Elise/Exige are just not really "forum" kind of people.

Maybe its because the owners of the earlier Lotuses (Elite, 7, Elan etc.) tend to be older and are probably not as comfortable talking about them on an internet forum?

I know it took me a while to get used to it all !

What kind of Lotus do you think I should buy, then? :D

There are a lot of yahoogroup people who won't make the leap to forums -- both for older Lotus as well as the Esprit. I'd like to see a lot of Elise owners on here, too, but many of them are new to Lotus and might not be interested in the older models, and EliseTalk keeps them busy!

But it will grow in time.

When it does, the regional forums will become very useful to bring people together locally.

Then there's Lotus Ltd. I'm sure there are some members on here already, but I wonder if some others in the club view web forums as competition (I don't).

I dont either.

Apparently Elise Talk really does take it serious. I have been censored everytime I have mentioned Lotus buzz.

No, no. Don't think about that I have been on the forum for a long time before this forum was even alive or even that I have posted plenty of times before and after Lotus buzz about nothing more than opinions or information.

Seems a little silly but to each their own.
