Holy Cow! Thats a nice collection Kyle. I wish I was a little closer to Philly cause I would be there for sure... perhaps when the weather turns I may take a road trip... :steeringwheel:
Welcome to LotusBuzz. Would be nice to see and hear about your collection.

Yes I do have a nice collection if I do say so myself. As time goes on I'm sure it will become even bigger and more varied.
I have been involved with Lotus for some time, having purchased my first Lotus - the M100 - in 1992, new from the dealer. It didn't take long for the bug to be totally ingrained. I have, in the past, been quite involved in Lotus Limited, even spent 2 years as president. I am currently trying to get PALS more active, hence the announcement for the planning meeting. I really would like anyone who is within a reasonable distance to attend.
Here are some teaser shots of my Barn and collection (though the formula cars are currently in a prep shop in Jersey and the interior of the building is currently more developed).

Depending on weather I might take you up on the offer, that's about an 8 hour run for me and would be a good tune up for the Birmingham outing

That looks like my future garage!
9 hours one way is a little too far for spur of the moment :crying:

I jokingly told a Lotus guy from another forum that he'd get the long distance award if he came from outside of Pittsburgh. If you come I'll have to hand it to you. There is a Comfort Inn a few exits down I78 if your serious.
Do you know my good friends Claude and Nicole Gagne. I only see them infrequently at a LOG or race, but - and things are like this with Lotus people - I consider them to be longtime and good friends.

Hi Kyle, welcome to the forum.:)
Thats a super varied Lotus collection you have there, great to hear you are gracious enough to want to spare the time and expense to share it with fellow enthusiasts by throwing what sounds is going to be a fun time at your nice looking Lotus Barn!
I would love to see your good self and chat about the cars in person, but ATM I dont think I can make it (I am a couple of hours further away than Andy B).:(

Yes I've met them a couple of times, in fact I joined their local Lotus club. Last April I took the Seven down the highway for a frigid 3.5 hour drive to a Wednesday evening club social. Great folks super friendly and a little like you have started to amass quite the Lotus collection.

Monday I will know if I'm going to make the trek to PA. Weather was the only consideration originally but Friday work raised it's ugly head and a trip to the east coast is possible. Normally I'd refuse but in todays economic climate that might not be wise:001_unsure:
The other climate is still iffy with rain forecast all this week, perhaps it will rain it's self out by next weekend:yes:
The car is all but ready, just an oil change today and an aluminum polish during the week (man I hate that job).

Andy,
I thought at first that you were just joking...but now..jeez you're serious.
Very cool.
The forecast for these parts is partly cloudy and temp of 50 with similar forecast for days on either side, so weather - at least here - should not be an issue.
PM me for address and additional contact info, and if you want a hotel there is one close by.

Unfortunately it won't happen for me, I got out of the work assignment only to learn my wife managed to pick up a cancellation for a small medical procedure on Friday and I'm designated driver.
Thanks for the invite Kyle, I hope you have a great day.
Andy.

Sorry to hear you can't make it Andy, I looked at your arrival as a longshot - and distance anyway. If you are inclined to make long trips for Lotus events you're welcome to come to other PALS events. I'll continue to post as they come up.

Yeah...some more photos (I managed to NOT include the ONLY europa that showed up...guess who's?) are at:
http://www.phillylotus.org/photos/index.php
It was a great day to drive, a great group of folks (I think the long-distance award goes to Paul Hill from Ontario, on his way through to Maryland), and some tasty cars there. 271 miles, to be exact (more than I budgeted, since I missed the exit to the interstate to Kyle's house...and had to drive to the next one, 19 miles north...:crying:...turn around, and then get off at the proper place...sigh). Averaged a little over 40 mpg round trip (all interstate mileage).
Doesn't take much to keep Lotus folk happy. And they all marked their spaces...(I still need to address the main seal on the 821 engine and the output seals on the tranny...keep putting that off...'cause that would mean a couple days without my car running, but I know I have to do it sooner or later...:001_unsure:)

At what?
All those rides in one place, or the fact that they all made it there in one piece....:thumbup:

Nice. :)
Yes, all those rides in one place. It's as if my dream garage actually exists, wait it does...it's just not mine.
Seriously though, thanks guys for posting up pictures and links to more pictures. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Glad to see the weather cooperated too.

This was a really nice event and I am glad those who came enjoyed it. We'll continue to post PALS events here, I hope more can come to future event.
The garage is my Barn. I built it specifically to house my Lotus collection. It looks clean in the pics becuase it is brand new and I have been pretty compulsive at keeping it up. WHile it is used for service I consider it's purpose to be a combination of storage, showroom, service, maintainance, museum, and hangout. So it is clean and neat, but not immaculate. If anyone is in the area and wants to have a look just let me know so I can see if I can accomodate.

Wow! what a great day with some great cars attending.
Probably better I did not come, certainly I would have to park outside as my twin cam sweats oil from every pore and your garage floor looks spotless.
Thanks for posting.

I do love a clean garage! I need to show these to my wife Cindy so she can see I am not the only OCD nut regarding the garage! hahaha...
