$169,000 aus = $137,742 cdn:ohmy:
or $106,480 usd:crying:
Wasnt it supposed to come in at about $85,000 usd?
The Elise Sells here for about 60k, I cant see Elise owners paying double the price for the Evora.
Not sure how it works these days but Australia has a luxury tax structure that slugs cars over a certain price. That's on top of various other taxes for both the state and federal coffers.
Tax free it would probably be under half that amount.
Don't know what you pay for the Cayman or M3, but they're about the same as the Evora. So that may give you an idea of our governments' "gouging" taxes.

I don't think you can do the math that way Wayne, because of the wicked Oz luxury car tax. I believe anything over AUD$57,180 is affected unless of course your Ferrari manages better than 7 litres per 100k or 34 mpUSg and then the threshold is $75000:D
Like all government tax grabs it's really simple, see here (http://www.privatefleet.com.au/index.php?itemID=228).:001_unsure:
Oh and by the way there's no kissing involved!

Well be glad you don't live in Denmark then....car sales tax is somewhere around 180%. I'm not even kidding!
