That would be cool little get around car. I assume it is really nice for 5K since it's not an S or turbo?

At $5K it can't be a Turbo unless its beat to death. Would be a fun daily driver... :steeringwheel:
I almost bought a Turbo S but for the same price I got an Esprit! I think I made a good choice.

Shame they never sold the Lotus Excel in North America, I much prefer it over the 944.

Yes, that would be a no brainer. Are the 944 and Excel about the same price in UK?

Hang on a mo, whilst I consult my valuation book.
Excel SE 1985 to 1988
Condition 1 10,700 (great britain pounds)
2 8,900
3 5,900
4 3,000
5 1,400
Porsche 944 1981-1987
Condition 1 28,500
2 19,000
3 12,500
4 7,500
5 2,800
So surprisingly (to me anyways) the Excel is half the price of an equivilent condition 944:ohmy:

Again, no Excel here so I'll just cry on my pillow in the corner. :D

Once upon a time there was a blue one in Pensacola. A Naval officer got it imported (back when officers could do that). I have not seen it in a long long time and I wonder what ever became of it? I remember him saying that it was a Hail Mary Moment when he wanted to pass someone as the drive was on the right.
