That is some low miles....but that could be a bad thing.
I swear, after that 25th Anniversary Esprit sold at Barret Jackson for big money, others are hoping to repeat that anomaly.

Here is to hoping :beerchug:! It would be nice to actually see some of our stuff go up a little in value. Countachs have jumped again up and Ferrari never really got low.

Interesting play, but I'm not sure why an '88 would be worth that kind of money when there are quite a few low miles V8's (http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=21&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-|E-|M-_29_|D-_4708_|N-N|R-10000|I-1%2c7|P-PRICE+descending|Q-descending|Z-73034&aff=national&paId=259162132&recnum=6&leadExists=true) around for similar cash. :001_unsure:

I agree...? However, I suppose the price is what the market will pay. Be interesting to watch it and see if it sells. I would personally bet against it selling in that range.

8,000/14,000 miles at 6,000 to 7,000 rpm can be hard on an engine.:(
As to whats worth what, the 88 is in great shape for an 21 year old Lotus that hasnt been restored, the 2001 V8 is in nice shape for a 8 year old used car.
The early X180's are now in a difficult spot (no mans land)where as they are not really a current or a classic ATM. The early X180 tri-colour leather interiors look great though when they are new .
All depends what you like , me I like the Giugiaro Esprits better than either of these cars.:)

LOL! Early on in life it became apparent to me that I had not been born into a family that could support the stable I desired...

That's a hell of a lot of money for a car that's been standing and will probably need work. My guess the drive shaft seals will need doing amongst other things.
