No Wayne,they would not let me fire it up despite me having a large hammer and a pipe wrench in my hands for any fine tuning it may have needed,the day got worse when Mr Wheatcroft`s elephant mascot would not unscrew with the wrench (one sold in July for 238,000 euros :ohmy:) then the ruddy fox I was hunting went to ground and the hunt was abandoned. http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t347/clockwork012/P1030783.jpg :)

Still using the original transporter Wayne,it might have done some laps on Saturday,but I can only do Sundays,still makes me tingle though,here`s an engine shot and a March sold to a Mr F. Great photos clockwork, they certainally brightened up my day.:)

I will have to make the pilgrimage out to Folkingham airfield one day to Hall and Hall which is where all the BRM stuff takes place .

I called them up about 6 years ago one saturday when I was having a problem with a cantakerous racing car and they kindly talked me through the problem .

They tell me they still have all the original drawings of the V16 and H16 engines which I wpould love to take a look at one day.

To think Tony Rudd designed that H16 with nothing but a pencil, drawing table and a slide rule.:weight_lift:

The March 711 is a cool car, the Frank Costin designed body looks amazing even today.
