And then I thought I'd better have the mirror in.
Sue needs to check hair and lippy before leaving car.

The hardest part turn out to be what I'd thought would be the easiest
The sunroof
It took two goes and lots of swearing.
Where it laps round overthe screws and then the rubber trim pushes in was glued. I've dry jointed which means I can remove the sunroof, should I need to, without damaging the headlining.
The sunroof to roof has plenty of guttering sealant in. This does not dry hard but remains flexible. Should be no more leaks there then.
Now it's back to driving for a few weeks.

Was there no aluminium foil glued to the inside of the roof when you took the old headliner down?
When I re-did the headliner on the Esprit, I found a load of it glued on , the reason being I suppose was for RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) and to provide a ground plain for the radio antenna (or aerial as you say).
I didn't enjoy scraping and picking all that foam and foil off at all, and re-glueing it all back up , the fumes from the glue gave me a wicked headache as well!
Do you think they revolved the body shell on a fixture and installed the headliner with the shell upsides down at the factory?

:
Only where you see it on the first shot.
Not much trouble getting the old fabric/foam out. It almost fell off...
