Well it`s that time already and although I can only go Sunday it looks promising, lots of quality as usual and a chance to wear my old 1940`s clothes again(joking honest) even I draw the line at nappies,Mr Bean will be making his 1st and only public appearance, although you can catch his alter ego Mr Atkinson in the paddock racing an A35. I shall post pics after the weekend all being well.:) taster http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/revival/

Looks like its going to be a great event this year, I wish I was going.:crying:

Never been to the Revival or the Festival of Speed but would like to go one day.

Please take plenty of photos , and hopefully it will be televised on the Speed channel later on in the year.

If you are driving the Esprit, I think some white cotton pants, a pastel solid color shirt, and Ray Bans are in order to be period correct with your car? The Esprit is, after all, very Miami Vice!

Great photos Mark, good to see Sir Anthony Bamfords 250 GTO (bodied in the LM style) again.

Was Andy Newell there looking after it?

The Chinook Mk 1 Can am car is pretty rare too isnt it, it looks very similar to a Chaparral 2.

The mini skirted Dolly Birds were nice to look at BTW.

Mark Blanchard

I'm afraid I don't know if Andy Newell was looking after the cars. Ever other had at the Revival seem to have JCB on it!

The car of the show for me was the Hamill-Chevrolet SR-3. When I saw it I went bonkers. It was one of the cars from the Mystery cars thread.

Took me a little while to figure this one out, I could see the Bristol dashboard and wheels, but it doesnt look like any Bristol I have ever seen (probably because it has been rebodied with a Talbot-Lago T150 one.)

I grew up just around the corner from Bristol expert Brian May so I thought I had seen them all!

Beautiful car, I love it.

I didn`t have the heart to doctor the badges, http://s514.photobucket.com/albums/t347/clockwork012/goodwood/ a good day out ,in no real order. Wayne ,when I saw it I thought Figoni and Falaschi straight away, but in the link you`ll see this, http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t347/clockwork012/goodwood/P1040255.jpg which was a more modern take on it.

Quite possibly Wayne, there was a similar red one on their stand, which along with a lot of others,Bonhams included, were out in the car park area so in theory no tickets were needed to view which could have occupied a good few hours. PS Does that link work ?

I was looking at that Lotus Mk. X , NOY 1 and admiring it.

Apparently it was used in a movie back in 1956 called Checkpoint, and at the time it belonged to Cliff Davis!

Here it is from back then.

I have no idea what that is clockwork, you will have to educate me on that one.

It looks to be 4WD and possibly pre-dates the Ferguson P99 which I always believed was the first 4WD Grand Prix car.

http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/photos-shelsley/80.jpg

Found a bit about it, Front wheel drive, Glassfibre monocoque, Cosworth Anglia engine, formula Junior.
Cool Car, never seen it before, wonder what it handles like?
