good news.. I just spoke with Grassroots Magazine who is hosting the Mitty and they are providing a tent for the lotus club as well as tons of lotus freebies and awards..

they are also providing us with a Lotus corral and are hostng a dinner Friday night during race weekend.

we will also get free track laps and pictures for a future Grassroots / My Classic Car magazine.

I spoke with Arnie the other day and he will have an Evora on hand for us to ( see !! ) and touch.. .

Doc Bundy will be there with us all weekend and the magazine will even be interviewing him for future magazine write up on the history of Lotus Racing.

the X180R cars will be in the " feature " event photo for future magazine issues.

Mr. Barber will be bringing over several Lotus cars from the museum...

its gonna be fun..

Wayne, get your ass down here for the weekend..

This is going to be great! The Mitty is hands down the best event in the entire Atlanta car show/event season.

I would have loved to come, but the logistics dont really work for me ATM.

I have to go to England to see my old dad and make sure he is alright which is more of a priority to me.

Sounds like you boys will be having a fun time though!:)

the Mitty is quickly approaching. I just spoke with the FL Lotus guys are they are all coming up Thursday night. The Alabama guys are coming Friday am.

Doc will be there all weekend. Murry is unable to race the Mitty this year for Lotu Sport because of a committment he has with Ferrari.

its gonna be fun.

Arnie will give us a tour of LCU again this year on Friday during lunch break from the track. we can zip over to LCU at lunch and then come back for the afternoon sprint races.

Lotu Sport is entering 2 of the X180R's so its gonna be fun.

Doc will again be in the #10 car and Jaime Goffaux will be in the #14 car which was Murrys old car. I invited Andy Pilgrim but he has prior comittments and Bobby Carradine is out of the country.

Brian,

Any chance that we can get Roger Cates and Doc to put the GT2 Lotus on display at the Mitty?

It sure would be good to see the car!!!

I will be sure to take a boat load of pictures this time. Got a nice camera for X-mas so for you who will not make it, there will at least be some enjoyment out of it.

ran well all weekend.. qualified well for yesterdays race but at some point the car lost turbo boost and Doc brought it in ..

other than that the weekend was super.. car ran great and we had a great turnout from friends and Lotus fans.

Arnie was a great hit as usual and the Evora made a great splash..

great weather.. great racing etc.

300 cars entered... it was the biggest Mitty that I remember.
