What makes this show (http://ancasterbritish.ca/) special is the fact it's the first of the year in these here parts. Hopefully I can sort my fuel delivery problems in time.

My Seven doesn't time travel, I'm not sure about Wayne's Esprit but the meet is not until April 18th:D

Well I was at the meet from 9.30 till 11.00 and saw Andys 7 just before we were leaving , but didn't see Andy.

The car looked good though and will look even better when he replaces the missing R/H reversing light lense!

Quite a few other Lotuses were present, a red Stevens Turbo Esprit,a green S4 high wing Esprit, a nice white S1 Elite , a +2 Elan blue with original silver metalflake roof, and a couple of S2 Elans.

I of course drove down in a 1988 V12 Jaguar:(

That red Lagonda on the 22" chrome rims was pretty outrageous!

That Laogonda is one of my neighbours Wayne,he also has a JPS Esprit.Did the green S4 have Novas on it and updated round tailights?

Yes the S4 had the last run V8 Esprit round tailights and wheels.

How long has your neighbour owned that Lagonda?

Sorry I missed you Wayne, I arrived a little after 9.30, I followed Rob's Green Esprit in and spent a great deal of the day with him.
I have a replacement lens for that reverse light waiting at my sister's place in the UK. I will be there for my Mom's 90th in July.
After all the grief this last 2 weeks my car performed flawlessly:steeringwheel:

It was a good meet, I liked the new venue alot, I dont think I have ever seen such a big turnout of cars at Ancaster for a long while.

I had to get going though as my friend who I was with had to meet his daughter in Toronto at lunchtime .

I spent a whopping $28 at the flea market BTW.

I'm not really sure.If I remember correctly he bought it about 9 years ago.It was owned by a Shiek in the middle east.
He has many cars including a couple of sweet Bitters. We live in a rural area so I really only see him at car shows and the like.

I am pretty sure its this one that was sold by RM at one of their auctions a while ago.

Although I really like the William Towns Lagonda, I am not all that keen on the red paint, preffering white, silver , grey or black on them.

Like it or loathe it, it wasnt a car that you could easily ignore!

in the background I see a white 1937 Cord ...

The place I was at in new york this week had about 3 of those Cord 810's, a couple of phaetons and a 4 door sedan.

One of the phaetons had a Oldsmobile RWD drivetrain installed.

Lotus trivia.

If you look at the front of a Cord, you will see it had retractable headlights (it was the first car fitted with them)

Look at a S1 to S3 Elan and you can see the headlamp pods are a very similar shape to the Cords (the Elan was the first Lotus fitted with retractable headlamps)

Then Lotus designer Ron Hickman who styled the Elan obviously had the cord in mind when he did that car.
