Saw that earlier. And yeah, I really do think I would have made a better CEO of Lotus than DB.
I don't mind grandiose plans, but what appalls me most is the gross inefficiency of those plans. So much money squandered on posh, self indulgent, pandering fluff. The cars, though interesting, are formulaic and appear non-innovative. The F1 debacle speaks for itself, at least people are talking about Lotus in and around the grids now. The Indycar deal, at least, may actually do some good in the US as there's lots of big Lotus badges on cars and suits, now there's 3 cars and not just one and TK knows how to finish a race in one piece, even on the podium sometimes. It's not NASCAR, but people do recognize Indycars in the states. So much marketing money takes away from the real R&D, evolution and innovation of design which could still appeal to the same markets, rather than flash-in-the-pan etherware that you're never sure if and when it will reach a showroom.
I guess I'm basically just against marketers being CEO's of companies which actually need to develop and produce things.

Allogant plick, things must not be going to plan for the oily oiyck ,"people in the last 15 years" WAKE UP it`s older than that,it was never "the Brand" it was much more "the Family" he could just as easily be working for Channel,(sometimes I wish he was),it was a disastrous interview and the board should gag him, although he might like that.
