I'll start with Describing my "ride".
I have a 1991 Lotus Esprit SE.
I have been yearning for this car since it was brand new. The opportunity presented itself earlier this year to purchase one and I made it happen.
It has 44K miles on it and it is in good condition. As is the case with most of them, there issues I will need to get around too, but hey...that's part of the fun if you ask me.
The car was originally Vulcan Grey and has been repainted the Titanium color you find on the V8 Esprits. It has S4 wheels on it and a performance exhaust. Other than that, it is has been pretty much left alone (minus a K&N air filter). This car is a riot to drive and it is damn fast! :D

Sweet car. I love the Esprit.
Having this new Lotus forum makes me miss my Lotus Elise.

Sounds great David. I guess you will know where to look on the web for more info if you get one :)
Which one do you like better, the Esprit or the Elise?
A day at the track, in my budies race car.

Heres a pic I took of my Turbo Esprit and my friend Norm Browns 1969 7 that I painted and helped restore (he has owned it 36 years):)

This is the view from the other direction, the 7 is behind the Esprit!

I've owned my car for 6 years, it was a shambles when I first got it, I completely restored by myself it over a period of a year (paint, interior, engine/transaxle etc.etc.), ridding the car of previous codges and general evidence of neglect. They are truly great cars to drive when they are right!
Norms 7 is a hoot to drive and I would recommend that everyone should take a 7 out for a drive at least once in there lives.

I did let Travis's co-driver have a go behind the wheel, but he was writing a story on the car for a magazine

My brother owns a 2002 anniversary edition esprit, and I definately know alot b/c of him. This car will only be a weekend car for me, but it is going to be awesome weekends for sure. Ill take more pics when it gets here.

Welcome!!!!
I'm serious, everytime I see that car I get sick knowing that I will never have one here in the US. That car would be a perfect car to fill the void of "quasi-daily-driver". :(
Gorgeous car Martin. Yes it would have been a good one for the colonies. As for the house, not bad..looks like mine only with a nicer lawn.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to post a picture of my Esprit S4. This is my first post on this forum and hopefully it will continue to grow...more places for the Esprit owners to gather the better!!
Take care,

Here's my S4, with my friend James (tentenths) SE. It's standard (I am a total purist)in every way including the interior and apart from fitting a few new lights (again standard Lotus parts) because the old ones were discoloured, it's as it came from the factory.....Not bad for nearly 80,000 miles.

Thats a very nice car Tony, but don't polish it too much or you will go through the paint.:p
An interesting bit of trivia about the S4 Esprit is that the front fog lights are actually originally Saab 9000 units.
Guess who designed the Saab 9000?

I have always had a love for the seven but never the money to play with one so I am as green as it is with envy.
In Australia there are very few to feast your eyes upon and I guess what is around only come out on event days.
Oh! Well, I will have to be content to tinkering around with my little Cortina and dream on.
Loverly cars both of them and some very nice clear pictures as well.
Regards Bob.

Hi Bob, and welcome to the forum.:)
Norm Brown (who owns that 7) has owned it since 1971, and he still drives it at least once a week in the summer.
It does get chilly driving it in the fall though as it doesn't have a heater (it was an option) and you get a heathy blast of wind around you as you get the speed up.
I couldn't feel my head anymore when I took it for a blast a couple of weeks ago after doing a bit of work on it!:(
But its more Fun than you could imagine to drive (for less than an hour.):icon15:

Hi! Wayne
Thanks very much for the warm welcome.
I rode motor cycles for many years so I can appreciate the chill factor associated with driving that little gem in the winter months.
Although that was before I moved south away from cold old Melbourne.
It doesn't get all that cold here in South Australia even in winter compared to what it would in Ontario.
As for fun to drive," Your right " I can only imagine.
