NEW PICS PAGE 3
I just got my car back, pretty much done with the exterior except that I want to paint the brakes orange and then im done.
Mods so far:
Sevas forged R22: 19x11 rear 18x9 front; Flat black face/glossy black lip w/ orange pin stripe
Tires are 295 rear and 245 front continentals
I smoked out the taillights, side markers and turn signals.
I also got the raid steering wheel with aluminum top and bottom, and painted the center top dash piece orange to match the other parts so the interior is done.
Next up is straight pipes and raising the boost and methanol injection.

It was done as a promotional vehicle for Outspan oranges back in the 70's.
I have actually rode in it (wierd looking out of orange tinted perspex windows)
You did a super nice job of those wheels (like the orange stripe detail)

Cool pictures! Wasn't your car on ebay a while back advertised as the last Esprit made?

No i dont think that was me, i just bought the car about 4 months ago but not from ebay. I would assume maybe another one, but this baby is mine and will not see ebay or be sold for a LONG time, if not forever. Would like to buy a carrera gt and keep this car till I die, im just to in love with it.

Got any close up pics of the wheels?
I know you are in the wheel business so you should be showing off your companies work!

Maybe it was another one. I saw an orange 04 about a year a half ago, selling through a Dealer on the US ebay and the reserve was VERY high.

Damn that looks goooooooddddd!!!!
Now all you need is a hot cuban babe to stand next to it with a "Please don't touch" sign! (but be warned... this may cost you far more than the car did)

Gorgeous Esprit! Nice touch in making it yours.... not over the top.
So..... did you keep the original wheels? do you want to sell them? hint hint

Yes i still have the original wheels with like brand new tires, its actually quite sad how fast I got wheels on the car:yes::yes:. Here is another pic of the wheel up close, at least the front, and so EVERYONE knows I have a 4 inch lip in the rear, so it looks real aggressive.

Thank you very much, trying to strive to keep the car with still the classic wheel design it had, but spice it up and refresh the car and give it a new look.

When you first said you were going to paint the calipers orange I was quite horrified, but on seeing that close up I think it's going to look great.
Are you going to do the plenum, and valve covers orange as well?

Very nicely detailed wheels, I'm impressed. :)
The front's weight about 18 pounds and the rear, weigh 20 pounds, without tires though.

Im actually getting rid of sevas and starting a new line guys, called royale forged. I found a better factory to make my wheels, PLUS i can make all titanium wheels and way way lighter and stronger wheels. I will definately keep you guys posted, as I really wasnt liking the quality of the sevas factory.(im real picky when it comes to my stuff, and I want the best highest quality stuff, no matter what it costs)

Great pictures and love those wheels
Can you get carbon fibre wheels made or carbon fibre rims with titanium or magnesium centers. Be interesting.
espritonhres
01-17-2008, 11:32 PM
Im working on that, trust me its just VERY costly, i will not dissapoint though, i want to try and make sure that with a full titanium wheel itll be lighter then the carbon fiber wheel. Thats my goal if not its wont be worth it to try.

I always though the Sport 350 Magnesium wheels would look hot reproduced in twill weave carbon fibre. Yeah I bet its pricey.

Just wanted to share with all of you the latest on my sevas experience. After speaking with the company's founder and CEO. Ive decided to keep my wheels. This is one serious company, they took care of all my issues and made sure I was extremely pleased with my purchase. The quality is fantastic and the product along with the company is first rate. I would encourage any of you to ride on Sevas.

Did you guys get good weight savings compared to the stock originals?
espritonhres
05-12-2008, 02:06 AM
No, definately heavier then the stock novas, but their bigger wheels. Id say something lighter would be, hres monoblock or competition series, OR haha you can spend a crazy amount of money on those carbon fiber wheels. I think im gonna go for a new look now though, I want a step lip(i think itll be a cool like classic/sporty look and do same flat black centers, and a full painted orange lip, MAYBE a black pin stripe. Ill definately post pics if I do it, its just an idea, but I saw a lambo with that paint scheme and I just couldnt stop admiring it.
