I find that power mods can be hurtful to your asking price if they are a bit on high side?
Does look pretty though:

just the right amount of modifications. not over done. looks great. looks like the bottom end wasnt massaged . should be fine.
because of the salvage title, it will probably go for 25 k ?

hmm. ebay says salvage. I wonder what it will go for either way. if clean it will probably still only be a 30 k car ?
if salvage, that should hurt the pricing.
beautiful car.

There's not a lot to hide on an Esprit if the chassis' straight, the motor's new, and the bodywork's solid, and if it's been through FVMC they should either have some history or know its condition. A lot of non-purists would go ga-ga to drive that car for $25k. How many cars in the field of a vintage race have been "rebuilt" and are still driven in anger (though admittedly those cars may be rebuilt to higher standards than the average salvage-titled car!).

for a clean clear title'd S4, the price would still be between 25 - 30 right ?
for a salvage it would be 25 at the most ?
I am only guessing but people usually run form a salvage. I personally wouldnt care if the car is repaired correctly but you are right, the purist would run from a Salvage.
I think it will go for no more than 25, but thats my own opinion.
sure is pretty tho.
I would consider it if I were in the market.
My next Esprit is still be thought out by Mr. Kmberly and the boys in UK.

Salvaged title can come from a variety of things that would not make run away just because of a salvage title. For example, in some states if a car is left at the dealer or service garage for too long a time, the dealer can claim the the car but has to title it as "salvaged". Also, insurance agents can opt to "total' a car with minor damage and claim the car for the agent as a "salvage". This is not uncommon in cash value policies where an ower wants cash and an agent wants the car...
As for the above car, looks good in the photo for sure. I'd check it out and take it for a spin to be sure etc... - but I'd pony up cash for the right price - if I had any cash! A little mod is okay in my book. I don't personally go for the way out.

If I was interested in that car (which Im not), I would definately go down there and meet the seller and inspect /drive the car firsthand.
I have learned never to trust what peoples explanations are of a "salvage title"(and how the car got it) and you would be in a right mess If you bought the car for top dollar and then on close examination found it to be a totalled rebuilt car (and poorly repaired), the car may not drive correctly and may not even abled to be aligned properly to correct it. How could you sell it on in good faith after that?(if you realised you didnt want it)Has the guy got photos of the car in its previous damaged state? If he has, why didnt he post them on ebay?
As for claimed power outputs after mods,we put one car a friend bought on a rolling road and found out it actually made less power than a factory stock one! He should have a dyno sheet at least to back up his claims, if not then assume its probably less than he claims.
I'm not saying this is such a car,the guy selling it may be completely honest and truthfull, but I would certainally be cautious of it.
