Well I noticed this forum a few days ago and informed some of the members of the British based Lotus Esprit Forum of its existance.

A couple of people I know S4Simon (from Australia) , Kylie (from New Zealand) and Kimbers (Norfolk) have already joined and made posts and as you know I WayneB(from Canada) has had a go aswell!;)

You may have noticed that we all come from different parts of the world, but share a passion for Lotus cars (the Esprit in particular) so dont be shy in talking to us!

In my opinion the worst thing that can happen to a forum is a few people who are local to each other chit chat amoungst themselves and alienate others solely because they dont know them.

Please dont let that happen here.:)

Hi Bill, I learned about this site from not the largest but certainly the best Lotus site, LotusElan.net. It was mentioned on there but so far little or no response.
Hopefully this place can unify the old and new Lotus owners, (as the Elise has ushered in my childrens' children's choice for cool.)
If I ignore the Esprit, (which of course is impossible as it has the history of a 30+ year old supercar)
did Lotus fall asleep for twenty five years? ElanElise what was inbetween,
those two sports car icons?

I've been telling people about this site. You got a bunch of new members over the past week, you are doing a great job Martino!!

My suggestion is to integrate into other forums as well. Get well known over on them and others will naturally migrate here to have a look. As you know I am a Moderator on Lotusespritforum.com, but I also actively post on Piston Heads, lotuselancentral and a few others.

Where you may lose out is in shows. LEF has stands at many of the Lotus focussed shows and even in foreign countrys we have members attending and plugging the site. members are from USA, Canada, Columbia, UK (infact virtually every European country), Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Eastern Europe etc etc etc.

We have recently set up business cards which say hi from LEF one of our members spotted your car . Please check out the website...blah blah.

My suggestion is speak to Bibs at LEF (he owns it) and start building a relationship. LEC did it recently and now we all talk on each others site, hoon together and attend events together!

And so it spreads!:D
