Just found this forum. I'm relatively new to Lotus ownership. Just into 1 year of owning my S1 Esprit. This looks a great place for sharing info and sorting probs / getting an idea how to restore your car.

Nice S1, looking at your avatar, at least. But, any S1 with 4 wheels on pavement looks nice in my book! :D

The sun helps with it being white, so it looks great. Close up tidying is needed. Inside needs completely doing as the sun has dried the material which has torn. This is my priority, so if anyone has advice on re triming please point me in the right direction.

I have always fancied having a white S1 as a daily runner, but I couldnt bring myself to putting high miles on such a great car. Would be a waste.

Hi Martin. It's a 1977. Later model with the beige and brown trim, not the tartan.
