I have a friend who lives in Danbury. I wonder if he would be interested? His wife's father or uncle has an Elan so she might encourage him. Unfortunately, that car is in Japan.

If you go to the dealer's web site, there are more pictures and it looks like most of the work is done. If only I had the money and time. It doesn't seem to be a bad price. Chequered Flag cars in Marina del Rey are asking $28,500 for a nice, but not perfect, S3. You could finish this one off for a lot less.

Looks like the bodywork has been done nicely and I assume that everything is there. With a bit of work someone should have a very nice Elan for not much money.

I notice it's a "Super Safety" version Elan, the likes of which I have never heard of before (having only worked on English domestic Elans)!

I am presuming was it a USA only version with standard seatbelts, side marker lights, headrests , Laminated Windsheild etc?(I cant see them on this particular car though)

Never seen anyone try to angle SS any other way than Super Sport. :huh:
