This particular car is for sale in Toronto....if there was a way to get it here in the US I would do it!
Wayne, do you ever see any of these in Canada?
I have loved these cars since I saw one at a Ferrari event that I was attending in Italy. The ultimate hot hatch in my opinion.
(Of course the headache doesn't stop after you get it into the US....parts and service would be a nightmare Im sure!)

Wayne, that is certainly a great sleeper. I would like one, but it costs just as much to service as a regular Ferrari engine. :crying:
Brian, the Delta is a turbocharged 2 liter Lancia 16v engine. Puts out about 200 hp. (Garret T3 :) )
Easy to get more power out of though.
The older S4 race car had a 1.8 turbocharged and supercharged engine with over 500hp. Said to have been able to accelerate to 60mph in under 3 seconds......in the gravel

The Stratos was awsome. I had a chance to buy one long ago... but i did not have the money. The seller got it in an Estate sale - did not know what it was - had it for sale as a "kit car" for $12,000.00!!!! It was in a steel building with 3 other cars - an XK120, Fiat Dino (the one with the Ferrari motor that was beautiful) and a 911 of some variant if I recall correctly. i remember thinking the seller was an idiot because a kit car would not be in a collection like tis...
My father in law could have snagged it and financed it for me, but not being a car guy or non NASCAR race fan at all, did not want to buy it becuse he did not know what it was and figured it would not be reliable and hard to get serviced.:huh::huh:
I loved the Stratos. I am sure whoever got that car made a mint off of it.

12K!!!!
Wow, that would have been a steal no matter what year it was. Good luck even finding one here in the US. Beautiful and a very capable sports car with a great racing pedigree.....it is destined to be great forever.

Yea, that is the part that really bites... this was in the US... Birmingham, AL. actually. I figured at the time there could not be more than a hand count in the states at all - if that many. I do not know the story on it, but te rumor mill later cranked out the idea that the righ guy that owned it until death brought it in for Baja (Dust and Glory) and never raced it there.

So it was a race version and not a road version!
