I didn't have it done but Botus (on LEF, not sure if he's made it across here yet) had it done by the factory, twice.
I think it's still far from how good he hoped it would be but at least it's the right colour (grey) and has the suede section that the Limited Edition Esprits had.

There's a trimmer who does work for Strattons, he doesn't like doingthem, but does them for that dealership because of how much they're prepared to pay.

The problem with a wheel is that leather being a natural product isn't uniform, so it can stretch more on one hide than another, or even one part of one hide stretching more than another part of it, so you might get the holes punched start lacing it up with the stitching, all going great then you find it's too taught in one area and not taught enough in another, but you can't just move the holes as you really only get one go at them,

Used to see the women stiching up the leather steering wheels at 100+ International in Warley.

The leather was pre-cut and the holes for the thread punched.

The wheel was clamped in a vise and they would literally lace one up in less than 10 mins.

Must be becoming a lost art!

I would think you would be better off finding a Momo or Sparco wheel in suede already done Brian, and just bolt it on to your existing adapter.

I would find a nice MOMO as well if I were you. Should be pretty simple since you don't have that big GM wheel like me. Right?

for some reason I think the 88 adaptor isnt user friendly with other steering wheels ?

Im sure the 88 wheel (3 spoke) uses a a Momo 6 hole adapter, Brian.

I thought the 88 had a Momo wheel? I do believe the hole pattern is the same. The black momo wheel would look awesome on my 88... hmmm I

I think our 88 wheels were made by Nardi ?

In that case look on ebay, the adapters are less than £10 in the UK.
