We brought you the first picture of the brand spanking new Lotus last week when it was known as the slightly spy-like Project Eagle. Lotus unveiled its bright light of the future at the British Motor Show earlier today, and we're still not sure what we

I think I would use my Esprit alot more If it had 4 seats and the interior volume of this car, Its just relegated to toy status as I cant use it for work as I cant get anything into it.:(
They did a good job of disguising a 2+2 as a 2 seater.:)
Looking forwards to eyeballing one in real life and seeing If that starts the lust burning in me!:mf_dribble:
Still waiting for a picture of the engine installation though!

I would like to see a shot of the rear seat. you can't have a shot of the motor as the motor was installed into the frame and then the car was built around it. Any work on the motor requires the car to be totally taken apart... hahahaha.... just kidding.

the rear seat is probably nothing more than a shelf..

Absolutely true. The rear 'seat' is nothing but a fabric covered shelf. But who cares? No one was going to use it as a practical four-seater anyway. They'll be used as much as the rear seats in a 911.

it looks fine with me. a perfect spot to put a helmet and drivers suit back there for your trip to the race track.
I love love love this car.
the back seats are perfect to me. its a sports car, who cares of there is room for the mother n law, just use the back seats for a helmet and drivers suit . or, a pair of shoes.

:lol:Missed that one. Thanks for posting it... I see now what folks have said. it is really like a 2+1.5:huh:. I guess it fills the bill though? Not sure how it will sell with the crowd actually looking for a +2. Mazda hit a home run with the RX-8 mostly due to the fact that real people can sit in the rear seat for trips around town. Kids can be hauled to grandmaws house with no trouble.
Still, great looking car, and I hope to see some decent sales figures after 2nd quarter next year. Price point will be everything, as I have stated, if it gets to high (dealer mark up) people will keep buying Masers and pass on the Lotus. The Maser has a back seat and a really cool trident badged grill! hahaha...
Lotus IMO, now more than ever, really needs to keep a leash on the dealers in the USA.

I have viewed a 3 part video of the Evora launch today. It was very good. Mike Kimberley led off.
Log on to Youtube and search Lotus Evora.
Alternatively, I have loaded them onto my blog. Click below (http://myvision.iuplog.com)

Crappy, tiny rear seats didn't hurt the sales of the Jaguar XK, Mustang or Camaro.
